¿How many are dogs abandoned in Bogota? ¿Why?
According to th Ministry Health, In the 2010 already of seventy thousand homeless dogs were in the streets of Bogota. In the 2011, Zoonosis declarated that already of forty thousand homeless dogs were in Bogotá.
The possibles causes of this situation can be:
There isn´t a code of citizenship, that punishable regulating proper punishment against pet abuse, requiring citizens to prevent such practices and to give the authorities instruments of coercion to prevent them.
There isn’t regulated regulations on adoption and pet ownership that strengthen the alternatives to educate people, to campaign for the adoption and sterilization. The sterilizations are privates.
